2013 Rexx Language Symposium

Rene Jansen
I would like to draw your attention to the 2013 International Rexx Language Symposium. This symposium is an excellent opportunity to meet fellow Rexx-aficionado's face to face; there are very interesting presentations planned, and there will be at least one tutorial by Prof. Dr. R. Flatscher from the University of Vienna - included in the symposium.

The symposium will be held May 05-08, 2013, in the Raleigh-Durham Area, North Carolina.
The address of the venue is: 5219 Page Road , Durham, NC, US, 27703

The link for the website for the hotel is" http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-durham-north_carolina-NC013
The symposium fee will be $100, with an early bird rate of $75 - this is still valid for a number of days.

I'll repeat the Call for Paper below:

"The Rexx Language Association invites you to participate in the 2013 International Rexx Symposium. This two-and-half-day technical conference will address topics related to the Rexx family of programming languages: Classic Rexx, NetRexx, and Open Object Rexx. Your knowledge and experience will be welcome, and may take the form of a presentation or a formal paper.

The International Rexx Symposium is the only technical conference dedicated to the Rexx family of programming languages, drawing speakers and attendees from around the world.

The technical program will feature topics addressing Rexx solutions to business problems, application development challenges, Rexx language enhancements and extensions, novel Rexx programming ideas, and the design and implementation of Rexx interpreters and compilers.

The full range of Rexx platforms and environments will be represented, from the mainframe to the desktop to the PDA/phone, and from legacy operating systems to Linux to Java."

Please submit your proposals, and join the conference! (This can be done here on the board, while the RexxLA server outage lasts.)

Best regards,

René VIncent Jansen,
President, Rexx Language Association.
