How to find out if trace is ON?

Horst
Hello,
I'd like to avoid trace output always in some procedures.
Thanks

The TRACE() BIF returns the current trace setting.  But the trace settings are are saved and restored with subroutine and function calls, so you can just unconditionally put TRACE OFF at the beginning of those procedures.  If you are in interactive debug, TRACE OFF will not take effect.  If you'd like to turn it off even in interactive debug mode, then use "call trace 'off'".
